Web Site: Martin Sundberg Photography

client: Martin Sundberg, Photographer
Berkeley, CA
designed by: Brian Dixon
the project: Martin Sundberg frequently sends samples of his work to prospective clients and speaks with magazine editors on the phone. Martin needed a Web site that he could direct editors and prospective clients to, whether on a phone call and viewing the site simultaneously, or in an e-mail message for later viewing.

Martin wanted a simple, yet striking design, which he got from an art director he works with regularly. Nomad Cows received the art files and built the site. The site is simple in that it only shows up to twenty-five of his images and his contact information, but it has a few hidden features that enable Martin to effectively promote his business on the Web.

Besides the public Web site, we built Martin a separate administration site that provides him with interactive forms and complete instructions for editing the image line-up and creating new image collections. By creating custom image collections and saving the file with a unique name or in a unique directory (e.g. /nationalgeographic/), he can make client-specific versions of his site for individual purposes, and leave a broad sample of his work on the home page for a general audience. There is no limit to how many collections Martin can create and host on his site - a very powerful tool for self-promotion.
