The 2001 Women in Cinema Film Festival Web site featured information about each of the films, show times, locations, and associated events such as premier parties. In past years and versions of the site, the folks at Cinema Seattle had to work through a laborious process of hand-coding HTML to get the movies and show times listed. To change all that, they wanted easy-to-use tools where they could just enter the data once, and then the content would automatically be on the Web site.
Nomad Cows received the designs and the HTML layout from Put on The Dog. We then built a database, all the administration tools for the data entry, and re-coded the static HTML pages into dynamic database-driven pages. After that, the organizers at Cinema Seattle just had to enter the name and description of a movie, approve the entry, and then it was instantly online. That simple.
